Monthly Stop Asking What to Buy with Login Points Guide

New and returning players can often feel overwhelmed by the number of options to choose from each month's Login Rewards. Without knowing what the items do or how valuable they may be, it can be easy to feel like you might miss out on something important. For the most part, Login Rewards tend to be less impactful than one may think, with many of them being cosmetic options. Most months see a similar base set of rewards on offer, a non-standardized rotation of other items, and (typically) one new cosmetic piece or similar. Priorities on purchasing are mostly just my opinion, so if you feel strongly about something feel free to take it to the Discussion page. Don't be afraid to deviate from recommendations to pick up an item you think looks neat, there is always next month.

As of the November 2025 Version Update, the Login Point system and its rewards were revamped. Going forward, 700 Login Points will carry over to the next month. Bear this number in mind when making purchases, as next month might offer something more interesting to you. The last few days of a Login Campaign's reward acquisition period usually coincide with the announcement of the next month's rewards, allowing for more informed planning.

5 points Melon Slicer	Cosmetic All Jobs, 1 damage weapon with a joke Weapon Skill. Its real use is for Abyssea procs while on a job such as Warrior or Ninja who can gain access to Tachi: Jinpu and Tachi: Koki.	High
5 points Seika Uchiwa Poroggo Cassock	Cosmetic Lockstyle pieces. Technically the Uchiwa could also be used for Abyssea procs, but Club has plenty of other options unlike Great Katana. The Poroggo coat is adorable and a great Lockstyle option unless you are an ugly race like Galka or Elvaan. The stats on Poroggo Cass. +1 are super niche, but if you are leveling at happen to notice it's Watersday, pop it on for some free Haste!	Low

He's also been quite rare recently, don't miss this one; Koru-Moru, an adept Red Mage who offers valuable buffs/debuffs such as Dia III and Haste II; Qultada, the only Corsair Trust who uses Phantom Roll. Though he is a terrible Skillchain partner, his Rolls can make a huge impact; Kuyin, an unkillable passive Trust who provides a Geomancy aura buff; Mayakov and Uka, who can assist in Dynamis currency farming via Job Ability Procs. 150 points Rem's Tale Ch.1 Rem's Tale Ch.2 Rem's Tale Ch.3 Rem's Tale Ch.4 Rem's Tale Ch.5 Rem's Tale Ch.6 Rem's Tale Ch.7 Rem's Tale Ch.8 Rem's Tale Ch.9 Rem's Tale Ch.10	Used in early Reforged armor upgrades. Here's the issue: if you accumulate the maximum amount of Login points in a month (~1900) you can purchase a total of 12 of these. Even carrying over 700 brings you to 16. That's enough for one or two (maybe three, depending on the piece) upgrade, and you are left with no points for anything else. Login points just are not a very efficient method of acquiring these, get out there and use your Macrocosmic Orbs and Merit Points! Completing just one battlefield on Very Easy can net you between two and five Chapters 1-5, or various Chapters 6-10 depending on the Battlefield. Even if you have zero Sacred Kindred's Crests, purchasing 20 for 100 Login Points is still more efficient than purchasing an equal amount of Chapters at 150 each.	Skip
150 points Etched Memory	Required to upgrade your Reforged Empyrean Armor to 119. Can be fairly expensive when purchased from other players (~20k+ each). Also available from Sparks. Given how many you need for even the cheapest upgrade (15), I can't recommend spending either Login Points or Sparks for these.	Skip

500 points Honey Wine Blue Pondweed Beastly Shank	Force spawn items for NQ HNM Kings of yore Fafnir, Behemoth, and Adamantoise. None of their drops have any viable use in endgame. Unless you want their title or a nostalgia trip, this is a huge waste of points.	Low
500 points Codex of Etchings	A better value than purchasing Etched Memory one by one, as 500 points can earn you 4-8 of these. However, again, the cost is not justified by the return on value here.	Low
500 points Patio Design Plans	Changes the look of your Mog House second floor. Have you ever even been to your second floor? Did you even know you could have one?	Low
500 points Melodious Plans Timbre Case Kit Musichinery Kit	Synergized into an Orchestrion. This item, when placed in your Mog House, allows you to change to background music of your home. Full use of this item will require gathering Orchestrion Tunes.	Low
500 points Orvail Box Key	A new item used to open chests dropped by the newly added timed spawn Notorious Monsters. Rewards may include equipment tailored to characters who have progressed to Ambuscade +2 armor and is akin to Unity gear. See August_2026_Version_Update_Changes for a full list of potential gear rewards. Alternatively, players may purchase one key per in-game day from Shabi for a meager 10,000 gil. Note that gear drops are not guaranteed. Some of the equipment is very good for its tier, others not so much. 500 points is a lot to spend per chance to get something good, but which may be replaced later down the line. Probably low priority, potentially medium if you're excited about something new. Note: These must only be used if you are not in the party which defeats the Notorious Monster. That is, if another group defeats the foe, and you are not part of said group, you may still earn rewards based on their effort. If you are in the party, the key is not necessary.	Low/Medium
500 points Facility Ring Caliber Ring	The former increases Capacity Points gained while the latter only increases Experience Points. I can't recommend either at the price, but some new players may find the extra exp valuable if they want to level quickly. If you are already alternating Emperor Band and Echad Ring, and full-timing Jubilee Ring, you may not need another source of bonus experience points.	Low
1000 points Sweet Tea Red Pondweed Savory Shank	Force spawn items for HQ HNM Kings of yore. Only King Behemoth's Savory Shank has any real value in purchasing, as Defending Ring is still a fantastic item even in endgame. Any player who is level ~80+ should be able to solo this with trusts. Even if you don't need/want Defending Ring, a Savory Shank can sell to other players via Bazaar for several hundred thousand gil. With the addition of Murky Ring and its relative ease of acquisition, Shank values may lower in price. You yourself may also find it a more valuable use of your points to spend them elsewhere and do a single run of Apollyon to skip Defending Ring. Note, however, that the two items can be worn together, thus Murky Ring does not necessarily fully replace Defending Ring.	Medium
1500 points Alabaster Matter	Used for obtaining and upgrading Alabaster Earring, Alabaster Mantle and the various Su4/Su5 equipment. You can't just trade this outright without first climbing Temenos at least once previously to open the chest, meaning you likely already received one of the accessories for free (hopefully you used it on the Earring!). Players who find themselves at a disparity between Alabaster and Murky Matters may want to pick this up.	Low/Medium
