Virelais are songs that Charm an enemy. This effect is much less powerful as a Beastmaster's charm, as the enemy simply attacks whatever the charmer attacks. You cannot order the pet at all.

• Virelai is extremely useful in removing shadows from an enemy. Even if it is a Notorious Monster and cannot be charmed, it will still wipe all shadows on an enemy.
• Every Virelai +1 given through equipment increases song duration by 10%, and Magic Accuracy by . Reference
  • The maximum Virelai bonus available from equipment is +7.
• Unlike other songs, Virelai is the only song that is not affected in any way by the Song Effect Duration stat on any equipment (including Carnwenhan) or Gifts.
  • This also means Troubadour has no effect.
  • Haste and Nightingale do reduce recast time, however.
• Soul Voice doubles the Magic Accuracy of this type of song.
• Marcato's effect on this type of song increases Magic Accuracy by 50%.
