Description	Gumbah has received a letter from the Dark Knight, Zeid. This correspondence states that to prevent Werei's technique from fading into oblivion, we are to train with a certain sword the great warrior left behind.

Walkthrough

You cannot start this quest if you have another Weapon Skill Quest active. You must return to the person that gave said quest and quit it to start another.

Speaking with Gumbah will grant you the key item Weapon training guide as well as the Sword of Trials. You will need to break the latent on the Sword of Trials before completing the rest of the quest.

With the Sword of Trials equipped in your Main hand, fight experience-yielding mobs ("Incredibly Easy Prey" or higher) and perform Weapon Skills or close Skillchains to accumulate 300 "Trial Points".

You know you have enough points when the latent breaks. You will know it is done when the weapon's elemental resistances disappear from your active resistances (colored dots below the gear grid, but above the selected item description). The item's description text will never change.

Trade the Sword of Trials back to Gumbah. This will give you the key item Map to the Annals of Truth.
Next, travel to the oasis in Western Altepa Desert at (E-9). It is located in the south west of the map.
- Unity Warp (125) gets you closest.
- Rabao or Quicksand Caves #1 HP warps, Survival Guide, or Voidwatch warps also available.
Examine the ??? on the south side of the oasis to spawn the NM Maharaja, a tiger.
Re-examine the ??? after winning to receive the key item Annals of Truth.
Go back and speak with Gumbah to receive your reward.
