It stretches beyond the 50% cap, but it is not considered Magical Damage Taken II.<br /> <br /> Example: A spell lands for 4,000 damage, but it is reduced by 2,000 damage from -50% [[Damage Taken]]. That leaves 2,000 damage remaining. This ability then activates, reducing 2,000 damage by an additional 1% per merit level, for a maximum of 10% with 5/5 merits and the [[Bihu Cuffs +3]] equipped. This reduces total damage to 1,800 points.</div>
