New page

Very Difficult
While it is possible to do a melee strategy, the risk of failure is higher, especially on Very Difficult.

Party setup is 1x PLD/BLU, 2x RNG/NIN, 1x RDM/WHM, 1x COR, 1x BRD/WHM.
*PLD should have relic reforged gear, Repulse Mantle, PDT rings (preferably Defending Ring and augmented Dark Ring), Ochain, and Aegis. PLD should never change gear except from Ochain to Aegis at 25% MR HP.
*RNGs should have Annihilators and use Coronach.
*BRD does Nightingale/Troubadour Soul Voice Archer's Prelude, Hunter's Prelude, Minuets 5, 4, (and 3 if have 99 daurdabla) on the RNGs and COR on the stairs where you can see MR.
*BRD does Nightingale/Troubadour Soul Voice Victory March (March x2 if have 99 daurdabla), Ballad x2, Scherzo on PLD, RDM, and himself.
*COR should do Hunter's Roll and Courser's Roll.
*RNG and COR should use Riverfin Soup, Kohlrouladen, Pot-au-feu, or sushi.
PLD goes in after casting Phalanx, Reprisal, Crusade, Enlight, and Cocoon. Flashes the MR and uses Sentinel.
*BRD pulls the MR's pet away with elegy and then either Lullaby or RDM sleep it. If cannot, then RNGs just kill it.
*PLD spams Flash, Blank Gaze, and Jettatura on MR. Be sure to maintain self buffs.
*RDM does Dia3 on MR, Flurry2 on RNGs and COR, Refresh2 on PLD (and Haste if BRD does not have 99 daurdabla).
*BRD try to land Carnage Elegy and Foe Requiem7 on MR.
*Both the RDM and BRD should be curing the PLD, but really the PLD should be taking very little damage and able to cure himself.
*RNGs use Decoy Shot and stay at least 15 yalms away at all times.
*COR needs to be very careful with hate, especially at the beginning. Recommend COR not damage MR until a couple WSs from the RNG.
*PLD should only do the WS Atonement. If max damage is not achieved, notify rest of party so they can back off on damage (usually COR is the culprit of pulling hate).
*PLD must use Fealty at 52% MR HP in order to prevent being charmed. At 50% MR HP the RNGs use Overkill to get MR to use charm before Fealty wears off.
*PLD switches to Aegis at 27% MR HP and uses Rampart.
WARNING: PLD should NEVER use Invincible. MR will steal it with Larceny. -- 2 January 2015‎ Protey
Victory with SAM/DRG solo. Used AAEV, Valaineral, Koru-Moru, Apururu and Ulmia. Valaineral uses AoE to keep hate if pet and/or AAMR get hate on player, both tank, use of High Jump frequently to keep hate low, only auto-attacking until Super Jump is ready, then Fudo spam and use Super Jump to reset self hate. Fight takes about 5-7 minutes depending on execution. Use TP to kill pet when able, keep it dead as long as you can, and kill pet upon every pop to keep tank damage down. ==Very Easy==
Soloe'd this on SMN99/RDM49 (ilvl119 reforged AF) with trusts Valaineral, Koru-Moru, Ulmia, Yoran-Oran and Tenzen II. Extremely easy, as others mentioned, the trusts are immune to charm, so as long as you don't get hate, you can just sit back and relax. I didn't bother killing any pets, no one in the party didn't even get to yellow hp. I popped Ramuh to hit it with Chaotic Strike (stun), and at 50% I did Astral Flow + Astral Conduit just to accelerate the fight, but definitely didn't need to. 25 October 2025

Soloed this for this month's Deed of Heroism and then again to unlock the AAMR trust. Got crushed the first time due to killing the add, getting hate presumably from too much SB/weaponskill damage output, and then getting charmed. Tried again with the knowledge that trusts are immune to charm – so just tagged the boss and sat back and watched my trusts kill it quickly enough without issue and got the victory. Sometimes "doing less" will work just fine and is all you need. Xfw (talk) 03:19, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

Did this for the trust. Went as 99RDM/NIN, brought a mule (which I just left AFK at the entrance). I used AAEV, Apururu, Iroha II, and Qultada. Tried to run away around 50% to avoid charm, but the weaponskill she has with gravity landed just before, so I was stuck. She charmed me (60 second duration), trusts despawned, and I killed my mule. Then the charm wore off and AA MR was an easy kill from 45% to 0. I kept the mandragora pet slept and just spammed Savage Blade. -- 3 July 2018 Lolmeleerdm (talk)

Solo'd this on RDM99/NIN49. Gear was 2x Emissary and the Weatherspoon Armor Set +1. Never got charmed, as my tank Trust was the focus for the entirety of the fight, and Charm doesn't work on Trusts. I had Valaineral, Noillurie, AAGK, Ulmia and Kupipi. No one's HP ever went below Half, ever. Keep spamming Utsusemi: Ichi as she will use AoE attacks a lot. Couldn't sleep the Mandragora with Sleep II, so it was able to AoE sleep me a couple times, but both Kupipi and Valaineral usually weren't slept, so they low-level cured party members to wake them. Fight was extremely trivial. --Coldreactive (talk) 18:33, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
