In Mindartia, Fort Karugo-Narugo is besieged by a Beastmen Confederate anti-magic unit, which allows the capital of Windurst to be invaded, but again, the Federation manages to repel the attacks. Cid is given the position as lead researcher of the Republic's Gunpowder Room.
